Here is a world of information at your fingertips.  You will need to log in through your portal to access information. 

Kids InfoBits covers every subject with articles and graphics.

Kids Reading Book in Park

Kiddle is a search engine geared toward kids.  Think Google, but without stumbling on to bad sites.

The World Almanac for Kids covers every subject (even math).  It includes games and videos by subject.

Explora is a huge database of articles.  Search by subject or key word.  Results can be adjusted by reading level.

Citations

When doing research, it is necessary to cite sources of information you use.

This YouTube video from EasyBib is called Citations for Beginners.

Kathy Schrock created a suggested guide for citations by grade level.  Click to button to find it.  Then locate your grade level and follow the directions.  Examples of citations are in red.

Online Read Alouds

Daily read alouds by school librarians at 10 am and 1 pm.

Famous people read you picture book at Storyline Online.  Many of your favorite books are here.

Just Books has over 1000 books read aloud.  Some are read by the author and options are available for different languages.

Kidlit.tv offers a variety of children's book and many of them are read by the author.

The Charleston County Library has some options for read alouds.
